NEW MENU LAUNCH - MONDAY MARCH 31ST 2008

WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF OUR NEW MENU.  WE HAVE EXTENDED OUR HOME COOKED MAIN COURSE SELECTION AS WELL AS ADDING MORE LIGHT BITES AND SNACKS.

OUR KITCHEN OPENING TIMES ARE NOW MONDAY TO SATURDAY 12 NOON UNTIL 3PM AND SUNDAY 12 NOON UNTIL 4PM

MONDAY

Join us for a nice and easy relaxing night - no loud music, just a friendly environment .  We have traditional pub games such as shove h'pennyand bar skittles or just come in for the bar banter.  It's just a case of coming in an unwind those monday blues.

TUESDAY

Free Pool - our newly re-furbished table is available for all ablilties.  We would like to develope a team to compete with other local pubs in the area so we need all you budding pool players to come along.

The table is available from 7pm

We also want to tempt you with our Home Cooked Chilli and a Pint whilst playing - a bargain at £4!!

WEDNESDAY

Join Kieran and friends for an acoustic music night from 8.30pm.  Bring along your instruments and voices if you would like to join in.  The Crown enjoy our "open mic" nights as we all enjoy a good tune.  Challenge Kieran and Co with your song choses - if they know it they will play it.

A fun and lively evening for all musical tastes (well most tastes!!)

THURSDAY

Check our gig guide for music on a Thursday evening.  We are introducing new acts all the time but on a Thursday the evening has a blues/jazz feel.

Join our Poker team! We have just started playing within The Crown and boast 2 poker tables.  We have a novice table so everyone can learn with help alway to hand.  If Kerry can learn the game anyone can!! (sorry Kerry x)

FRIDAY & SATURDAY

The music ranges from 60's to date, rock to ska, jazz bands to solo artists.  Just keep looking for the up and coming Gig dates.

SUNDAY

Quiz Night

A £1 per person with teams no bigger than six.  Come and challenge your grey matter with our general knowledge 40 question quiz.  We also hold a picture round where the celeb's don't always look their best!!

Once you have paid your entry fee you will be given a draw ticket.  If, after the quiz, your ticket number is called you have the chance to play our very own "Play Your Cards Right".  Get all cards correct in this "higher, lower" challenge you get to win the prize pot!!  If no winner the pot will roll over to the following sunday.
